The Ivorian-born Burkina Faso international is believed to be the highest paid Tanzanian Premier League player on an annual salary of $240,000 (Ksh31 million) which translates to $20,000 (Ksh2.6 million) per month.

This is thanks to a new two-year contract that he signed last year, when Yanga acted quickly to fend off suitors, who included South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Algeria’s CR Belouizdad.

Unconfirmed reports also claim he received a signing-on fee of $400,000 (Ksh51.7 million), paid in two installments of $200,000 (Ksh26 million) per year and he is also entitled to bonuses for goals and assists.

Besides the financial outlay, Ki is also entitled to a fully furnished apartment in one of Dar es Salaam’s exclusive neighborhoods as well as two business class air tickets.

The 28-year-old joined the Tanzanian champions from Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas in 2022, for a reported $150,000, and became a key player under former coach Nasreddine Nabi, helping them to the last two league titles as well as the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup final.

He scored 21 goals and provided eight assists last season, which saw him attract interest from a number of clubs but has managed just five so far this term.
