Mass of his memorial in the cathedral of all saints was attended by his friends, his former colleagues, his wife and children.

“I met my husband Leonard in 1965 working as Keshia in CBD. Mine loved his family and his children but he was a man who did not like conflict at all and although he was a celebrity, he protected our family from being known.

In 1982, when a coup attempt occurred in Kenya, I remember I opened the door when the rebels knocked, everything was done very quickly and at some point, I thought he was dead during the violence. We thank God for Leonard that the voice saved the government, causing the failure of the revolution. He has lived a blessed life loving people. When he became ill, our son Jimmy became his great guardian and I thank him for that. We fell in love with Najuta the illness took him. I thank God for a good life and I wish my husband to rest even in death. “
