FKF has taken steps towards strengthening its relations with FKF Premier League broadcaster Azam TV.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has reiterated its commitment to strengthening its partnership with FKF Premier League broadcaster Azam TV.
This assurance follows a consultative meeting between FKF and Azam Media aimed at enhancing the league’s quality and visibility.
The meeting, held earlier today, brought together key stakeholders, including FKF President Hussein Mohammed and Azam Media representatives Patrick Kahemele, CEO – Content & Broadcasting Division, and Martin Abuya, General Manager.
Discussions centered on improving production standards, increasing fan engagement, and strengthening the league’s commercial value through a collaborative approach.
Speaking after the meeting, FKF President Hussein Mohammed emphasized the federation’s dedication to working closely with Azam TV to elevate the league’s standards.
“Our partnership with Azam is crucial in taking the FKF Premier League to the next level. Improving the broadcast quality and commercial appeal of the league will not only attract more fans but also create better opportunities for clubs and players,” he stated via FKF.

The FKF initially unveiled Azam Media Limited as the FKF Premier League’s official broadcast partner in August 2023.
This came after a prolonged period without a broadcast partner following SuperSport’s termination of their rights deal in July 2020.
The current agreement with Azam Media is set to run for seven years, with an initial value of $1 million for the first season.

Kasarani has been earmarked for AFCON 2027 while renovations works will ensure the stadium joins Nyayo for hosting the postponed 2024 CHAN matches.
The deal includes an annual increment of $100,000 for each subsequent season.
Under the partnership, Azam TV beams four matches live each match week on both its pay and digital platforms, ensuring extensive coverage of Kenya’s top-flight football.
