How did Mbotela die?

The sad son narrated his father's last events, with intense debates following plans to bury him at Lang'ata cemetery on Saturday, February 15.

Fred Obachi Machoka was one of the Kenyans who expressed their displeasure, saying Mbotela deserved a place to rest more due to his contributions to journalism.

“Today I am angry, very angry! Entering the remains of Legend Things Mbotela in Lang'ata Cemetery is wrong. Mr. President, you have heard of? He said.

Many Kenyans supported Machoka's views, emphasizing that Mbotela deserves to rest more respectfully.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, February 11, Jimmy said that his father knew his time had come.

“When I got into the ward I found him alone and went to greet him. He raised his eyes and saw me and opened his hand.

I put my hand into it and grabbed it and didn't want to let it go, ” Jimmy said.

However he had to leave the room without knowing that his father was leaving.

“I had to go because the nurses wanted to serve her. I didn't know that it was good. ”

Jimmy later returned to the ward with his sister, holding hands.

“He just looked and closed his eyes, and the machines were flat. That was; in peace,” He said.

Juma said that Mbotela did not come from the original coastal communities and are the tribe of theirs.

The deceased journalist was a relative of the released slave elder Mbotela who was rescued from an Arabic slave to Arabia for sale in the slave market in the 1860s.

Elder Mbotela lived on the beach and married a fellow Malawian woman, and gave birth to children.

Juma followed the journalist while listing his other prominent relatives including Councilor Tom Mbotela, whose Mbotela area in Eastlands has been mentioned.

The reporter noted that many of Mbotela's relatives were buried in public cemeteries, urging Kenyans to respect the family's wishes.

He concluded with respect to Mbotela, remembering when the former radio broadcaster would be eagerly listening to his stories about reporting about conflicts in Somalia, Sudan and Ethiopia.

Juma revealed that he wanted Mbotela to be part of the film he was working on, but God had other plans.
