“The girl is a partial orphan who lost her mother while her father suffers from a chronic illness. The suspect decided to bring her into his house to take care of her. But he decided to defile her,” Olielo said.

“We are told the man had a wife but they separated over disagreements. He later brought in the girl to his house where he has been defiling her,” he added.
The administrator arrested the suspect and handed him over to police at Homa Bay Police Station.
“We have taken the suspect to the police station where he is being detained for interrogation before being arraigned in court,” he added.
He appealed to residents to be responsible and respect the rights of children.
