Nairobi: Kenyans have appeared on social networks to comfort Leonard's wife Mambo Mbotela who was not very popular until after the death of her husband.

Who is Leonard's wife Mbotela?

This renowned journalist, known for his latest term, has left a wife and three children.

Mbotela enjoyed her marriage with Alice Mwakali Mbotela for over 40 years, and together they were blessed with three children, Ida, Jimmy, and George.

Nairobi Women's Representative, Esther Passarishe visited Mbotela's widow at her home in Nairobi and shared their pictures together.

Why will Leonard Mbotela be buried in Lang'ata?

There was a heated debate on the internet after he was exposed that Mbotela would be buried in public cemeteries.

Many Kenyans, led by Fred Obachi Machoka, said it was not appropriate for a journalist to be buried in the area.

However, Yassin Juma examined Mbotela's family history and Explain the reasons for the decision to bury him in Lang'ata cemetery.

“If you want him to be buried, then his body will have to be transported to Mpanda Village on the shores of Lake Malawi in Malawi,“Yassin explained.

Juma added that Mbotela was not from the original coastal communities, as many thought.
