Kariobangi Sharks forward secures big-money move to France

The winger is set to begin a new chapter in France, less than a year after joining FKF Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks.

Kariobangi Sharks’ South Sudanese forward Paul Jawa has secured a big move abroad after joining French fourth tier side FC Fleury 91.

The winger, who had not even finished a season in the FKF Premier League, joins the French outfit after featuring 10 times for Sharks in the local league, having linked up with William Muluya’s side from Rainbow FC this season.

Despite his limited experience in the Kenyan top flight, the French club was still impressed by his qualities and hope the 20-year-old can blossom into a player that can help them achieve their objectives.

Muluyha is not worried about the prospect of losing key midfielder Keith Imbali to Shabana in the ongoing mid-season transfer window.

He made his senior debut for the Bright Stars in qualifiers for both the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and 2026 World Cup and also featured at the 2023 African Games in Accra, Ghana.

Based in in Fleury-Merogis, northern France, FC Fleury competes in the Championnat National 2, the fourth tier of French football, and are currently second on the 16-team table with 35 points from 16 matches, four behind top of the table FC 93 BBG, who have played two games more.
