‘He’s winning off the track’

Christian Coleman’s relationship with fellow sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson has received a seal of approval from fans after the duo’s latest public appearance.

Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman finally ended all speculation over the nature of their relationship following their reference of each other as “baby” during the Super Bowl weekend.

The two cozied up as they attended the highly-popular event, attracting attention not just because they are track stars, but of how close they were, as they witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles whitewash the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

Richardson and Coleman had been staying mum over their relationship but when the 100m world champion had a go at YouTuber IShowSpeed, it was evident when she handed her bag to Coleman while referring to him as “baby” a number of times.

Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman have shutdown claims against Noah Lyeles from YouTuber iShowSpeed.

That confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in athletics circles but fans saw the fun side of it given the two sprinters had different fortunes on track last year.

While Richardson won Olympics silver in 100m and anchored Team USA to 4x100m relay gold, Coleman failed to qualify for the Olympics in 200m as well 100m, and even his only chance at glory went up in smoke.

That was after a poor baton handover to Kenny Bednarek that saw Team USA’s 4x100m relay team disqualified, ending his season in disarray, but fans feel that dating Richardson has offered Coleman a rare win.

“At least he is winning off the track,” one fan commented over the two sprinters’ relationship.

“Ugh. I just love this so much for her. I hope they last,” pointed another fan who hopes the relationship goes to the next level.

“There’s a part of me that wanna hate but I rather her be happy even if it’s not with me,” observed another fan wishing the two well.

Some supporters feel the relationship will be very beneficial to both runners in the long run.

“Awwww her start and his finish bout to be sooo good now,” said another one, who approves of the relationship.

“If they have kids those genetics will be CRAZY. They’re gonna have the fastest babies in the world.”

Coleman had started his 2024 season well when he won the World Indoor Championships but found the going tough at the US Olympics trials

He has since joined Richardson’s training camp under coach Dennis Mitchell’s Star Athletics Club, making their bond even stronger, and will hope that 2025 yields success on the track after scoring big off it.
