‘Hatuwezi ishi place moja tunazidi kuzeeka’ – Miracle Baby on why he ditched Gengetone for Mugithi
Kenyan singer Peter Mwangi, widely known as Miracle Baby, has disclosed that he will no longer be part of the Gengetone music family.
Taking to his Instagram account, Miracle Baby says even though Gengetone contributed positively towards his music career, he has decided to abandon the genre adding that from now henceforth he will be singing Mugithi gospel.
Furthermore, the singer attributes the transition to personal growth.
Gengetone’s death?
According to the Wamlambez hitmaker, Gengetone will again die a natural death this year unless musicians start singing meaningful songs, adding that artistes are enjoying millions of views without making any money.
In addition, Miracle Baby says the genre should be left to the upcoming artistes to establish themselves.
“Gengetone ilikuja then ikaisha so huwezi niambia nirudi na kitu yenye ilikuja na ikaisha that means itakuja then iishe.
“Najua hii itapita wengi wenye hatupendi kureason, but trust you me, Gengetone haiwezi maliza this year ikiwa uhai tena kama hatutachange game naona mazishi ingine ya Gengetone….hatuwezi ishi place moja, baana joo tunazidi kuzeeka…izo doba ziachiwe up coming wajijenge vile tu zilitujenga tusipo do ivo tutaishi na millions of views but kwa mfuko zero…for now acha ni pige gospel Mugithi zangu na Nguthii podcast visafy. Getting saved
On June 2, 2024, he posted photos of himself being prayed for in church via his Instagram account and announced that he had been anointed as a man of God weeks after he was discharged from the hospital.
He expressed gratitude to Apostle John Paul for ordaining him as a pastor, adding that he will be referred to as Pastor Peter Mwangi.
“I have been approved as a pastor by Apostle John Paul. I will serve God. Thank you, Apostle John Paul, for anointing me with oil. I will serve God until the end,” he shared.
His new path comes after, in an undated video, he was heard saying that if he leaves the hospital bed, he would become a pastor.
“Bwana asifiwe. I’m going to preach. Nikitoka hapa nakua pastor, and I will preach. Wenye wamenisupport God bless you. Mungu anasema hapa ninatoka,” he said.
Miracle Baby was part of the famous Gengetone Boys group dubbed Sailors.
