About 300 amateur golfers set for the Lady Captain’s tournament this weekend at the Ruiru golf course.
Nairobi’s top amateur golfers will gather this Saturday at the scenic par 72 Ruiru Golf Course for the highly anticipated Lady Captain’s Tournament, with 300 players expected to compete.
Under the theme ‘Celebrating a Year of Dedication’ the event will shine a spotlight on the leadership and achievement of Lady captain Rhoda Mukami, whose guidance has seen Ruiru Sports Club host prestigious events and secure significant tournament victories.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Lady Captain Mukami expressed pride in the club’s progress. “This year, we have embodied the spirit of being united, growing stronger, achieving more and fostering a vibrant golfing community. Our focus is to continue elevating the quality of golf in Ruiru and throughout the country.”
Ruiru has solidified it’s reputation as a premier destination for corporate events. Last weekend, the club welcomed 345 amateur golfers for the ICEA Lion tournament, further emphasizing it’s status as a top-tier golfing venue.
The tournament festivities kicked off on Tuesday with the Seniors Swing, a min club night celebrating the seasoned golfers who have helped shape the club’s legacy.
On Wednesday, the club will begin it’s CSR activities with a visit to Ruiru hospital in show of support to new mother’s by donating chairs to help them comfortably nurse their babies.
On Friday, action kicks off with a mixed foursome double on the green, serving as a prelude to Saturday’s main event.
The main event on Saturday will see approximately 300 golfers take to the course.
