USAID: A list of Kenyan institutions that have been canceled US funding, the money they were given 2024

In less than a month in power, Trump issued a directive that banned all foreign aid run by the US aid Agency (USAID).

Are Donald Trump's instructions on foreign aid apply?

Although Foreign Minister Marco Rubio announced an amnesty to allow humanitarian life aid to resume, the suspension of the USAID treasury continued to hit many countries around the world.

The organization instructed all employees around the world to go to administrative holidays.

“On Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:59 pm (EST) all USAID direct employees will be given an administrative holiday worldwide, with the except special, ” It said USAID.

The move created fear and pain among dependent institutions that took the initiative to correct themselves due to the reduction of contributions.

How much did USAID pay Kenya in 2024?

The US Foreign Treasury donated KSh 84 billion to more than 230 institutions in Kenya in the year ending December 2024.

Other Kenyan humanitarian organizations are the World Food Program which received KSh 15.6 billion, the Food and Agriculture Organization (KSh 113 million), the Kenya Red Cross (KSh 1.1 billion) and Mercy Corps (KSh 1.4 billion.

How USAID's Treasury suspension affects Kenya
