Since launching his request, Raila has made numerous campaigns in Africa, visiting approximately 40 nations to gain support. The Kenyan government has confirmed many of its travels in search of votes.
Speaking on Saturday, February 8, the opposition leader presented his hopes about inheriting departing chairman, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
He emphasized that his manifesto is unique and that his vision for Africa is open, aimed at benefiting all Africans.
“We have traveled around the continent of Africa, meeting with leaders, discussing our policies, and explaining what we intend to reach this continent – Africa in Africa. focusing on the interests of our citizens, ” Raila said.
His confidence is coming as the Kenyan government calls on citizens to give him moral support, insisting that his victory would benefit the country.
In addition, several leaders from various political alliances have expressed the belief that Raila will be the next chairman of the AUC, expecting a landslide victory.
This approval has created emotions from Kenyans, who are eagerly counting up to election date.
How many presidents have confirmed the vote for Raila?
At the same time, the government has been fully supporting Raila's campaign. Minister of Environment Aden Duale He showed Raila's faith and victory, quoting the consent from several government officials.
According to Duale, nine presidents who visited Kenya in the last week confirmed their votes, and at least 11 East African leaders have approved Raila's candidacy.
In his bid to run for the AUC chair, Raila faces competition from Djibouti's foreign minister, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, and Richard Randriamandrato of Madagascar. The elections are expected to take place during the 38th AU meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

However, Raila's campaign has faced challenges. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi recently approved Youssouf, which seemed to hinder Raila's goal.
How many countries will vote for Raila?
Meanwhile, during his campaigns, he met with heads of Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, and Mozambique, who all promised their votes on his behalf.
In the East African Community (EAC), Kenya, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania And Uganda have confirmed to support the candidate.
Additionally, Raila has received approval from eight Ecowas countries: Togo, NigeriaGambia, Senegal, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, and Côte d'Ivoire, to strengthen its role in the race.
