Susan Wanjiku, who is still struggling to agree with the death of her husband, reported when the hospital phoned her to tell her that an emergency had occurred.
Speaking to NTVThe widow said she was told to rush to Kenyatta National Hospital and after arriving, she was told shocking that her husband was killed in a hospital bed.
“After I arrived the doctor took me aside and told me Gilbert had been killed, I wondered how such a thing happened in such a large hospital, I remain wondering how no patient has heard something,” He said.

He said the whole ward had seven patients.
“I had to recognize the body. The whole bed was blood. We just want justice. We took her to the hospital thinking it was safe. We just wanted to recover,” He said.
Susan said her husband's illness began in 2018, adding that she had been struggling to increase medical bills as she wanted her husband to recover.
Details indicate that a murder weapon, a kitchen knife was found near the criminal area.

Reports of the patient's death also left many Kenyans in surprise, wondering how the safety of one of the best hospitals in the country was broken and caused Gilbert's death.

KNH talks after Gilbert Kinyua's murder
Reported, patients and staff at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNA) were left with shock after a patient in a single ward was found dead in his bed.
Officials at the hospital said the patient was found brutally murdered, with his throat being cut off, after an invader was reported to be hospitalized.
Acting CEO of Kenyatta National Hospital Dr William Sigilai confirmed the incident while expressing his sadness.
He added that the hospital, in conjunction with the police, initiated a thorough internal investigation to identify the patient's death circumstances.
“We are sad to prove the case involving the sad death of a patient at Kenyatta National Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time,” Sigilai's statement read in part.
