Ingwe have been on a mini revival and can get into the top four with victory against struggling Kariobangi Sharks at Dandora Stadium.
AFC Leopards have a chance to get into the top four in the FKF Premier League when they host Kariobangi Sharks at the Dandora Stadium on Sunday.
Ingwe have been on a mini revival, having put together a three-match unbeaten run that includes two wins and a draw.
Leopards head into the match in fifth place with 29 points but can go ahead of fourth-placed Bandari with a win, which would see them both on 32 points, but Ingwe have a superior goal difference.
Fred Ambani’s team would have been in the title talk were it not for their inconsistent run of form but they can still get themselves into the conversation as they have two games in hand which, if they win, they will be on 35 points, just three behind joint leaders Kenya Police and Tusker FC, who played out a barren draw on Saturday.
Leopards, however, do not have a very inspiring record against Sharks as in 14 meetings, they have won just four, their opponents three, with seven having ended in draws.
They are unbeaten against them in their last five matches, however, which have seen three wins and two draws, including last season when they completed a double, winning the first leg 2-0, before claiming a 2-1 victory in the return fixture.
Julius Masaba has explained how difficult it has become to break into the competitive AFC Leopards starting line-up ever since moving from Kariobangi Sharks last August.
Leopards and Sharks last met in October 2024, when they played out a 1-1 draw, but Ambani’s team will be inspired by their opponent’s poor run of form as they have not won in their last seven, recording four draws and three wins, which leaves them 13th on the log with 21 points.
