Bajaber, who has impressed for Nairobi City Stars which has earned him a Ksh. 1 million move to Kenya Police, has revealed what he learnt during his debut Harambee Stars camp at the Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar earlier this year.

Newly signed Kenya Police FC attacking midfielder Mohamed Bajaber has explained how his game has developed since making his Harambee Stars debut last January.

Bajaber’s rise in Kenyan football has been further fueled by his recent call-up to the Harambee Stars squad for the Mapinduzi Cup, where he earned his first international cap. He credited the experience for his growth as a player.

Speaking in an interview with Eric Njiru on X, Bajaber explained what he learnt the most about his experience at the tournament.

“It was good. The quality of players and coaches around me there was quite high, which really helped me analyze myself and gauge where I stand among the best players in the league, as well as in Tanzania and Zanzibar. It made me want to work even harder,” he remarked.

 Bajaber has been the star shining at Nairobi City Stars over the past two seasons and perhaps their most important player, thus attracting interest from several FKF Premier League clubs.

It is Police that finally convinced the Kenyan international to join them as they strengthen their squad in their quest to challenge for the league title. Speaking after his last session with City Stars, where he bid farewell to his former teammates, Bajaber disclosed the feeling of signing for the law enforcers.

“It feels good although it hurts to leave City Stars at this point. I wish I could have left in better circumstances,” said Bajaber.

Reflecting on his time with Simba wa Nairobi, the 21-year-old could only feel proud of himself. “It started off not so good, but I started growing into the team. I think last season was our best season here, and I also played well this season. Unfortunately, things have not gone too well for the team,” he admitted.

Now, with higher expectations at Kenya Police FC, Bajaber is eager to contribute and help his new team challenge for silverware. “The team challenged for the title and won a cup last season. It is a very good team, and I hope I can help them achieve their goals this year,” he stated.

“Hopefully out of Kenya. I still have a lot to reach, I still have to work hard, and I hope I will, inshallah (God-willing),” he concluded.
