Lyles delivered his crowning achievement at the 2023 World Championship in Budapest, where he retained his 200m crown from 2019 and 2022 to complete the three-peat. In the process, he claimed a rare sprint treble, winning gold in the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m relay, the first man to do so since Jamaican icon Usain Bolt in 2015.

At Paris 2024, Lyles won 100m gold in a photo finish race, beating Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson to the line by a mere five-thousandths of a second. He went on to finish third in the 200m final, revealing after the race that he had tested positive for COVID-19 two days earlier.

Beyond his athletics achievements, Lyles has become a vocal advocate for mental health awareness. In 2020, he openly shared his struggles with mental health. His efforts to destigmatise mental health in sports underscore his role as a pioneer in breaking down taboos within the athletic community.

The three-time Olympic medalist recently appeared in an interview with global fashion and media brand, and discussed many things, including which fashion icon he used to follow and how his preferences have changed. Lyles has followed different individuals over the years and recently talked about how his taste in fashion has evolved to such an extent that he now prefers his own style.
“It’s changed over the years. We switched from like Kanye (West) to ASAP Rocky to Taylor, the creator and to be honest, myself,” he said.
