Odhiambo, who was arrested by KWS officials at his home in Manyani for illegal fishing in Lake Nakuru park, was allegedly evacuated to the garden after being arrested.
According to investigators investigating the case, six KWS officials who were involved in Odhiambo allegedly escaped from detention shortly after his arrest.

However, in a controversial situation in the Nakuru court on Thursday, February 6, Judge Julius Nangea decided that there was no evidence to prove that Odhiambo had been detained by KWS.
The decision sparked controversy in court, with his mother Odhiambo crying without restraint, demanding his son be released.
Exhausted with sadness, he was supported by family members when he was taken out of court.
In his crying story, he revealed that Odhiambo was the guardian of their family, and his disappearance had interrupted their dreams, including their hopes of owning a home.
“Give me my baby where will I find you my son, where are you Brian, who will take care of me? Who will build a house for me, I have no one anymore,” He cried as his voice filled with pain.
“I saw a KWS officer picking up my son. Why are they doing this to me? Why did they cut off the fare so early? added bitterly.
Her sister also added the cry, urging the officers to release her brother who had disappeared for about a month.
Residents accompanying him in court joined the sadness, making strong statements to demand a fisherman's abandonment to be returned to the family.
The family is now facing a bitter reality of not knowing the fate of their loved one.

Meanwhile, during the interrogation, KWS-Francis Wachira officials, Abdulrahman Sudi, Isaac Ochieng, Evance Kimaiyo, Michael Wabukhala, and Alexander Lorogoi-confirmed to arrest an unknown person suspected of fishing in the sewer area.
The investigation revealed that two Odhiambo phones were turned off in different places: one near the Nakuru palace at 1.51 pm and the other in the Karunga area at 4.07 pm approximately five hours after being arrested.
