The elders said Muturi was one of the 22 chief secretaries who could easily reach the head of state and fix matters.
They also called on Muturi to stop criticizing the government of Kenya first and focus on performing his responsibilities accordingly.

“Go talk to the President. We also urge you not to say bad government. Start working with the government because we do not want bad politics in the Mount Kenya region. We want to be part of the government, so that we can continue,” the elders added.
Muturi calls on the government after the murder of the sequences
Njuri Ncheke's statement comes a few days after Minister Muturi criticized the government once again following the discovery of the bodies of two of the three men who had disappeared.
Speaking in Nairobi on Friday, January 31, the minister criticized government security officials for their defense and satisfaction, which led to the disappearance of some Kenyans and others found dead.
Giving condolences to the extremists, Muturi advised that it was high time for the government to put aside all other issues and focus on security issues.
He explained that the government should not focus on reforming the economy while the electorate disappeared while others were found dead.
The minister called for the formation of an investigative commission to investigate the kidnapping and to hold the perpetrators.
