On Tuesday, February 4, Ruto, during a meeting with local leaders in Mandera County, called on politicians to put the country's development rather than engaging in premature election activities.

He called on the leaders to give his administration the opportunity to fulfill his promises, emphasizing that frequent political campaigns remove the true leadership.

Ruto called his critics for engaging in 2027 politics saying they should allow his government to provide services to the people.

The president also saw the difference between leadership and regular campaigns, emphasizing that the goal should be on the administration, not the endless election.

“You are scared by the 2027 conversations. This is not my concern. Will the 2027 elections be different from what we had ever had? What is the problem? 1, Deputy President 1, Deputy President for 1, 0 years. I am president.

However, the ODM Secretary -General quickly denied Ruto's remarks, questioning his loyalty on the issue of early campaigns.

The open -speaking senator reminded Ruto's political history, accusing him of teaching other leaders about elections before his time.

Sifuna claimed that during the Jubilee administration, Ruto, former deputy president, campaigned for nine out of 10 years in office.

“Ruto has campaigned for 9 of the 10 years he was deputy independence. He has already started the 2027 campaign. He has no position to speak on early campaigns,” Sifuna said.

Is ODM in the Kenyan government first?

The constant criticism of the MP against Ruto in recent weeks has put him on the sidewalk by some ODM officials.
