Mombasa – A clinic officer at Pandya Hospital has been suspended following a tragic allegation of sexual abuse involving a kidney patient.

The suspect identified by the name of Dias Juma Wabwile was brought to court on Monday, February 3, facing two charges of rape and committing an act with an adult.

In a statement on Wednesday, February 5, the Council of Clinic Officers (COC) confirmed receiving reports from the media about allegations against Wabwile.

The council confirmed that Wabwile is a clinical clinic officer registered at 20317.

Despite the fact that no formal complaints were submitted to the council, the team has been sent to Pandya Hospital to conduct a thorough investigation.

The Registrar and CEO of the Council, Ibrahim Your, emphasized that professional and integrity values ​​must be considered in the medical field.

“The Council of Clinical Officers strongly condemns any form of non -moral and criminal activities and is committed to ensuring that all health professionals comply with high moral standards.

So far no official complaint has been received in our office.

However, the Council has sent a team of officers to Pandya Hospital to initiate a thorough investigation for the council to make the right decision, ”he said.

Why Wabwile has been suspended before the investigation

Due to the seriousness of the matter, the council has suspended Wabwile's license pending the results of the investigation.

The authorities have assured the public that they are fully cooperating with law enforcement and will take appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with the procedure.

On Monday, Wabwile was brought before Mombasa Chief Justice Alex Ithuku, where he denied the charges.

The court heard that the defendant allegedly sexually abused the victim on January 31, 2025, at 5am in the hospital area.

In addition, the prosecutor accused Wabwile of committing an evil act of improperly touching the victim of court documents indicating that the offenses occurred between October 2024 and January 31, 2025, at Mvita County Hospital.
