NFL superstar Tyreek Hill claps back at Noah Lyles after provocative post race message.
Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles used his recent win at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston to call out Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill.
Lyles called out the NFL superstar after winning the 60m sprint, his first top-level race since the Paris Olympics on February 2. The six-time world champion clocked 6.52 seconds, beating out the Bahamas’ Terrence Jones and Italy’s Marcell Jacobs who came in second and third respectively.
After cutting the tape, Lyles took his bib off his back and revealed a message saying: “Tyreek Could Never.”
Later in an interview with NBC Sports, the 27-year-old said: “When you’re ready to actually put some words down and you’re actually ready to race, see me. I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. But all I know is, your football season’s over. You ain’t got no excuse now.”
Noah Lyles’ journey to the top has not been without challenges but with support from his parents, he has risen above the struggles. Pulse Sports details everything you need to know about his parents.
It didn’t take long for Hill to hit back at Lyles via an X post saying, “Get a load of this guy.” This is just the latest development in a back-and-forth that began back in August. Hill has ran track before. In 2023, he ran 60m at the 2023 USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships in 6.70 seconds in his first race meet in nine years.
Lyles, 27, won the 60m at the 2024 USATF Indoor Championships in a personal best 6.43.There is no doubt a race between Lyles and Hill would sell tickets and attract serious eye balls.
