Noah Lyles won the season 60m opener at New Balance Indoor and took a swipe at Miami Dolphins receiver.
Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has sounded out Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill to race him after his exception performance in Boston.
The six-time world champion cruised to victory in the 60m in 6.52 seconds at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston on Sunday. Terrence Jones and Marcell Jacobs came in second and third respectively after clocking 6.57 sec and 6.60 sec in that same order.
Kenny Bednarek has broken down his typical warm up routine, which has helped him clinch back-to-back silver medals at the Olympic stage
According to the Associated Press, after crossing the finish line first, Lyle’s pulled the bib off his back and showing the message: ‘Tyreek could never.’
Hill, who won two Georgia state track championships in high school and is considered one of the fastest men in the NFL, said on a podcast in August that he could beat Lyles in a race. Lyles told NBC after the race that he accepted the challenge.
Kishane Thompson explained the difficulties he experienced in the 100m finals at the Paris Olympic Games.
“When you’re ready to actually put some words down and you’re actually ready to race, see me,” Lyles said. “I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. But all I know is, your football season’s over. You ain’t got no excuse now.”
Noah Lyles will look to build on from his Paris Olympic Games performance with victory in major Athletics meets and the World Championships this year.
After his heroics in Paris and his reputation improving, all eyes will be on the vocal American sprinter to endear himself into the annals of history.
