Olympics champion Gabby Thomas has revealed her emotional reaction to being featured on the cover of renown fashion magazine Vogue.

Thomas was on the January cover of Vogue where she talked and displayed her love for fashion, a rare recognition for track and field stars.

The 28-year-old won three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, claiming the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m relay titles, and that success elevated her into a global superstar that top brands are scrambling for.

Thomas admits she was thrilled when she was informed that she would be featured in the magazine but she could not hold back tears upon learning that she would actually be on the cover.

‘I screamed. My publicist called me. At first, I knew I had a feature and I was like; ‘This is incredible, I will be in Vogue. It is great, the pinnacle of my life.’ And then she called and said I am going to be on the cover, and I actually cried,” Thomas said on Not Gonna Lie with Kyle Kelce.

“I was crying because it is something that is truly out of my wildest dreams,” she added.

Gabby Thomas was on the January 2025 cover of Vogue Magazine.

The American sprinter says such recognition means a lot given the hard work she puts in to have a successful career and it shows that her achievements are appreciated beyond the track and field circle.

“When I am training, racing and competing and working hard, I am not thinking about these types of things,” she added.

“I am thinking about the process and how to get better each day and I really do take it day by day so when such things happen, like being on the Vogue, it feels like all my dreams have truly come through.
