Milkaa Moraa Tegisi explained that the landlord had locked her out of her house on the streets of the Great Kulenga, Nairobi for a week due to tax arrears.

Moraa expected that he would receive support from the church and then be abandoned.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke Administrative police officer Sammy Ondimu Ngare said he was touched by the woman's condition and decided to gather her followers to help her.

She planned an online donation that continues to help the woman pay taxes and possibly start a business.

“As of this morning, he had already received Ksh 200,000 but I'm sure we will exceed that amount,” Ngare said.

“I can help him get a job or if he can run a business we will use the donated money to establish something that will be a lasting solution to his financial problems,” he added.

The Nakuru police officer revealed that Moraa and her children are currently welcomed by one of her friends in Nairobi who took her for a while.

He also said they are considering moving him into a separate home with a better life.

“We can find another house for him because the closed is built of tin and may be the reason for his child to get sick. So we can find another house with the same rental levels but with little conditions to avoid cold, ” He said.
