The Chairperson and Members of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) have appointed Dr. Gilda Odera as the Vice Chairperson of the Commission.
In a press statement sent to newsrooms, SRC said the appointment was done in Pursuant to Article 250 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Odera served as the first female National President of the Federation of Kenya Employers.
“We congratulate Dr. Odera on her appointment and wish her success as she undertakes her roles,” stated SRC.
Dr. Odera, who is the nominee representing the Federation of Kenya Employers, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts Degree in Leading Innovation and Change from the University of York St. John in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, specialising in Leadership and Management.
The newly appointed Vice Chairperson also has cumulative work experience of more than 30 years serving in senior management as chief executive and a board director.
