Nairobi – One of three people who disappeared from the chain has been confirmed dead.
Makueni's lawyer and Senator, Dan Maanzo, confirmed this in a meeting with the media in the Mountains Court, on Thursday, January 30.
Maanzo said the body of Justus Survey was found in the river in Ruai, Nairobi County; It was then taken to the City Mortuary Reserve where his relatives officially recognized it.
According to the lawyer who was representing the families of the lost people, the body of the slave was found along with another unidentified corpse.
The deceased was among the three people who disappeared in the sequence in December 2024; Others who have not yet been found are Clerk Muema and Stephen Kavingo.
“It is two bodies, one has not yet been identified. One of them is the JUNTUS SUMMER; his family has confirmed it. His brother and his uncle were called to the City Mortuary Park where they officially recognized it after the fingerprints was confirmed,” Said the sources.
Maanzo blamed the police for misleading the court for claiming that the three people who were being searched were traveling to Kitui County while the bodies were found in Nairobi.
“Police reported that they were on their way to Kitui, but the body was found in the Ruai River one day after the disappearance. Police did not give accurate information to the court,” He said.
This sad progress came shortly after the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, and Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI), Mohamed Amin, came to court to answer questions about the people.
Accompanied by their lawyers, Kanja and Amin came before Judge Chacha Mwita to give their details about the disappearance of the three.
Brian Odhiambo: The fisherman's disappearance was turned off near Nakuru's White House, the detective tells the court
Kanja told the court that the three were not detained at any police station in the country, but confirmed that they were safe wherever they were.
In turn, Amin explained to the court that the people were not arrested by government officials and no charges were filed against them.
How Lsk What was said about the discovery of the body of the slave Justus
The case against Kinja and Amin about the disappearance of the three was presented by the Kenya Lawyers Association (LSK), which required the police chiefs to be ordered to provide information to the family about their loved ones.
Speaking at the City Mortuary reserve after the slave body was found, LSK President Faith Odhiambo was surprised how the police handled the matter.
He was surprised how the police continued to claim that they were investigating but they had already discovered the bodies and took them to the mochari.
“In fact, it is ironic that the police had already discovered the body and still claimed to be investigating, while all the time denied that they did not know the three. It is the responsibility of the National Police Service (NPS) to tell Kenyans about those abducted, They go through, and if they have found the body, tell them whether they are captured or not, “ Said Faith.
Odhiambo said the misunderstanding in police reports shows that the security system in the country is disrupted, and Kenyans are not safe.
