In his campaign for the AUC seat, Raila met with Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania On Tuesday, January 28.

Despite Djibouti suspending his candidate, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, against Raila in the February elections, he continued his campaigns and met with the president of Djibouti.

The two candidates, Raila and Mahamoud, have been visiting Africa to gain support from as many heads of state as possible.

At a meeting of the African Heads of Energy held in Dar es Salaam, Raila also used the opportunity to strengthen his networks by meeting with the President of Mauritania and AU chairman Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani, Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, and Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera .

He also met Duma Gideon Boko, President of Botswana, and Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi.

Raila later entered social networks and thanked Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu for inviting him to the 300 African African Energy Summit.
