Elaine Thompson-Herah playfully dismissed rumors about her training camp switch, leaving fans speculating about her next move.
The fastest woman alive, Elaine Thompson-Herah, has seemingly scoffed at claims made by a track and field enthusiast regarding her training.
The enthusiast shared a tweet on X (Twitter), claiming that the multiple Olympic champion had been spotted training with Marvin Bracy.
Marvin Bracy trains at the Tumbleweed Track Club under the guidance of controversial coach Rana Reider and the X user was seemingly claiming that Elaine had moved to Florida, bringing up the rumours of her relocation once again.
Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will head to the United States to promote her latest venture as she begins to prepare for life beyond track.
In response to the tweet, Elaine Thompson-Herah, known to be very non-confrontational, clapped back with laughing emojis, once again failing to confirm whether it was true or false.
In 2024, retired Jamaican legend Gregory Haughton also claimed that Elaine Thompson-Herah had relocated to Florida and would be taking instructions from Rana Reider but her team reached out to him and claimed that she had just gone there for treatment and nothing more.
They also requested he pull down the video he had since shared on YouTube and explained that it was misinforming people about Elaine Thompson-Herah’s whereabouts. At the time, Elaine did not respond to any claims.
“At the end of the day, I respected the fact the call was made, and I also appreciated the fact that they took the time to listen to what I had to say regarding my intentions behind it all,” Gregory Haughton shared in a statement at the time.
“It must be said that the personnel from Elaine’s team stated that the video was not completely accurate and adamantly refuted any claims being made about Elaine having an official new camp.
“Yes, Elaine is in Florida getting treatment, yes Elaine may have associates that are associated with the camp in question, but let it be heard here as I set the record straight, Elaine has not found a new home plain and simple.”
Elaine Thompson-Herah has been a victim of injuries and at one point in her career, she felt like there was no need to keep trying.
At the end of the 2024 season, Elaine Thompson-Herah made a shocking coaching move exiting the Elite Performance Club headed by Reynaldo Walcott, just a year after she was involved in a coaching scandal with Shanikie Osbourne in 2023.
Elaine started off her career at the MVP Track Club under Stephen Francis from 2012 to 2021 before she took instructions from her husband from 2021 to 2023.
Speculations have been flying around that she is now under the guidance of Rana Reider but until she confirms it, it will be considered a mere rumour.
