Angelica Kerley explains the physical torture she went through in the 6 am morning confrontation with the American sprinter Fred Kerley and claims the Olympic medallist leads a double life.
Fred Kerley‘s estranged wife has relived the horrifying moment she thought she would die at his hands.
Angelica, the mother of three, said she battled for air as the Olympic medallist choked her during the alleged early morning attack in the bedroom of their home just south of Miami.
Kerley was released from jail on bond on January 4 in relation to the alleged attack and from a separate incident where he was tased by police during a night out in Miami Beach with his new lover.
Angelica opened about her turbulent 10-year relationship with the track icon – claiming he’s a serial cheater who leads a ‘double life’. The alleged brutal attack happened in May 2024. Angelica says she innocently followed an old flame on Instagram and that proved to be a spark which ignited his fury.
The 29-year-old returned one morning at 6am and drama ensued. “He doesn’t have a shirt on, he doesn’t have shoes on. He walks up to me and tries to snatch my phone, asking why I’m following that man,” Angelica exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail.
Talitha Diggs is aiming to carve her own path from her family’s Olympics prestige by emulating the legendary Allyson Felix.
“He then comes around and is snatching at me. I take my left hand and swing it across his face, not hard but because he’s at me. It’s like, back up. He stands back, he looks at me and he says, “if you put your hands on me again, we’re gonna have issues”. I’m standing up on the bed in my nightclothes… and he charges me.”
As his alleged aggression hit a crescendo, she described his next move: “He drags me off the bed and I land face first on the wooden floor, bashing my nose.”
She continues: “He still tries to grab my phone which I slide under me. So I’m on my stomach on the floor. He takes his arm and he wraps it around my neck and he’s literally choking me.”
Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will head to the United States to promote her latest venture as she begins to prepare for life beyond track.
“And he’s not choking me where I can gasp for air. I can’t gasp for air at this point. And I’m literally tapping him. Like I can’t even swing at him because of the way he has my body – the lower half is on the floor, the top half is bent back and lifted up. Finally he lets me go and I breathe in as hard as I can so I can scream out loud.”
Angelica said she desperately yelled for Kerley’s uncle and aunt, who were staying at the house, to come in and protect her as her husband once more advanced on her.
Angelica claims Kerley pulled away but eventually grabbed her phone before dashing out of the house and driving off.
