How William Ruto he described Gachagua as corrupt
During his recent visit to the Western region, Ruto continued his attacks on his former deputy, blaming him for failing at work during his leadership period.
Speaking in Luanda, Vihiga County, on Wednesday, January 22, Ruto slammed Gachagua for pushing non-progressive political debates that could divide Kenyans.
Ruto revealed that Gachagua was removed from power because of failure, lack of leadership skills, and corruption.
How did Gachagua respond to Ruto's attacks?
However, speaking on Monday, January 27, Gachagua strongly accused the president of using his development tour to insult him.
Gachagua wondered how the entire president could use a 6-day visit to insult his former deputy instead of launching development projects to help Kenyans.
The former deputy president claimed that Ruto was complaining about him because he was in pain after losing the votes in Mt Kenya.
“He is very bitter, he is full of anger, and he has no patience at all that for 6 whole days he is insulting me in Western Kenya. Rigathi Gachagua is not a road in Webuye, not a hospital in Vihiga, not a slaughterhouse in Bungoma. The President has gone to the West for 6 days only talking about Rigathi Choose from time to time Kalonzo Musyoka because he is bitter that the Mt Kenya votes, which made him President, are lost and lost forever,” said Gachagua.
On corruption issues, Gachagua claimed that the president was not being truthful, suggesting that Ruto was the most corrupt.
“Mr. President, be an honest person, look in the mirror before you talk about corruption, and look at yourself. Rigathi Gachagua has never been associated with any scandal in this country. Your government is deceitful, you lie to the people. You signed a contract with the Western region promising to build 1000 kilometers of road, but you haven't built anything. You just went there to launch a transformer. You wanted me to help you deceive Kenyans, but I can't.” he added.
Why does Gachagua want to cooperate with Kalonzo?
At the same time, Gachagua promised to cooperate with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-K leader Eugene Malwa face President Ruto in the next election.
Gachagua said that together with other leaders, they are committed to freeing the country from the Ruto regime.
According to Gachagua, the opposition is ready to make any sacrifice to ensure that Ruto is a one-term president.
The former deputy president accused Ruto of betraying the people who sent him to the White House during the highly competitive 2022 general election.
