Nairobi – President William Ruto has expressed extensive support to his US counterpart, Donald Trumpfollowing a declaration to turn off the LGBTQ+ movement in the United States.

The announcement was made by Trump on January 20, the day of his inauguration, saying that The United States from now will recognize the two sexes only: male and female.

Speaking at the Global Christian Church on Sunday, January 26, President Ruto supported Trump's policy direction, comparing it to the Bible teachings and African cultures of Kenya.
“We are so proud that, contrary to what has been happening in the past, this year we have received good progress from the United States. As a democratic nation, we have seen a new US policy that is in line with what we believe – that boys remain boys, men remain men, women remaining women, And the girls remain girls, ” Ruto said.
The president emphasized that Kenya has long considered the belief of the existence of two sexes, the foundation being religion and tradition.
“This year, the first news from the United States under the new rule is to prove what the Bible says, what our faith believes, and what our traditions are in charge of,” he added.
The national leader also spoke of strong cooperation between Kenya and the United States, describing it as a relationship of friendship and blessing to Kenya.
He expressed his hope about the future of the country, saying, “There is an indication that God is sending Kenya a large part.”
In addition, Ruto participated that President Trump had asked for Kenya's help in providing diplomatic security in Haiti.
“I am very proud that President Trump supports Kenya's role in Haiti to help bring peace and stability to their nation,” Ruto said.
The president again confirmed Kenya's promise to promote close cooperation with the United States in various sectors, emphasizing the collective values and the support of the two parties.
