Addressing believers at PCEA Meru Church on Sunday, January 26, Gachagua claimed that there was a comprehensive plan for President William Ruto's administration to remove Koome from the office.
According to Gachagua, the recent move of the removal of Koome's guards was to intimidate and force him to resign.

Gachagua claimed that the recent petition filed in the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) against seven Supreme Court judges was part of the government's plan to dissolve the Supreme Court.
“All those requests you see in the Supreme Court are government plans because they would like to set up a high court panel that complies with the wishes of the incumbent,” He said.
The former deputy president called on the Chief Justice who was faced with the challenges not to be discouraged, saying that he was doing a good job despite criticism from some Kenyans.

Why Nelson Havi wants the removal of high court judges
As previously reported, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) acknowledged a request to remove Chief Justice Martha Koome and other Supreme Court judges.
The request was submitted to the commission on January 13 by former President of the Kenya Law Society (LSK), Nelson Havi.
He asked for the removal of all Supreme Court judges on suspicion of misconduct and abuse of office.
In addition to Koome, judges Smokin Wanjala, Njoki Ndungu, Isaac Lenaola, William Ouko, Philomena Mwilu, and Mohamed Ibrahim are in danger of being removed.
The JSC also confirmed receipt of Havi's request to oust Supreme Court judges Alfred Mabeya and Lucas Naikuni on suspicion of misconduct and bad behavior.
