‘Darn my Harvard Degree’ – Gabby Thomas unleashes subtle clap back at hater who questioned her intellect

Olympics champion Gabby Thomas has had to unleash another of her subtle comebacks after firing back at a hater who questioned whether she is intelligent enough.

American sprint queen Gabby Thomas has had to develop a thick skin since winning her first Olympics gold medals at the Paris 2024 Games.

Since her success, Thomas has witnessed an increase in the number of admirers but haters have also risen in equal measure.

Thomas became a hit when she won three Olympics titles, having claimed the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m relays, matching compatriot Allyson Felix, the last American to achieve such a feat in 2012.

The 28-year-old’s success also saw a lot of scrutiny on who she really is and fans were in awe when they discovered that she epitomizes beauty and brains as she has a Degree in Neurobiology and Global Health from the prestigious Harvard University and Master’s in Public Health.

But not everyone has been happy with her success, some even claiming she only won the 200m because world champion Shericka Jackson and defending Olympics champion Elaine Thompson-Herah were missing through injury.

Thomas has, however, mastered the art of comebacks, firing back at those who are quick to discredit her hard work and success and she served the same to another on Saturday.

“Gabby Thomas doesn’t sound like she’s the brightest out there,” an X user commented but the sprinter put him in his place.

“You’re probably right, darn my Harvard degree,” Thomas replied to the critic.

The Jamaican sprint queen featured in her first race in six months and her performance must have left rivals with a lot to ponder.

The comment excited fans online with most of them agreeing with the sprinter’s way of handling the situation.

“Educated, beautiful, and articulate. Plus super athletic. That’s a helluva combination,” one user observed.

“I’m not sure of a more triple threat woman on the planet right now in terms of brains, beauty, athletic ability. Yet she still seems pretty humble and down to earth,” added another one.

“Great comeback, Harvard degree and Olympic gold medallist- not too shabby,” observed another one.

Gabby Thomas shares thoughts on newly-formed women's basketball league Unrivaled

Olympic champion Gabby Thomas has shared her reaction to the newly-formed women’s basketball league.

“We have your back Gabby! You’re such a great role model for our student athletes! Keep up the good work.”

“Internet is the only place where losers can tell highly trained occupations that they don’t know what they’re talking about,” said another X user.

It is not the first time Thomas is having to respond to haters and the way she goes about it shows she has mastered the art of great clap backs.
