British sprint sensation joins Noah Lyles Athletics Training Group in Florida

Daryll Neita will team up with Olympic champion Noah Lyles in Florida in an effort to hone her skills in the US.

British sprinter Daryll Neita, who finished fourth in the Olympic 100m at the Paris Olympics, has moved to Florida to join Lance Brauman’s coaching group.

The Pure Athletics group in Clermont, Florida, also includes Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles, who is also the world champion in the 200m and Shaunaue Miller-Uibo, the former Olympics gold medalist.

Neita has revealed what she learnt about herself this season after clinching another Olympic medal in Paris.

Neita, who managed a fifth-place finish in 200m, also in Paris, has left the Italian sprint factory run by coach Marco Airale despite successes on the track on track from 2023-2024. An Italian exodus is underway from the Padova-based sprint training group.

Neita’s team-mate Jeremiah Azu has relocated to Cardiff in South Wales to team up with his old coach Helen James according to Athletics Weekly. British sprinters Reece Prescod, Adam Gemili and Ama Pipi are also understood to have left Italy, although Amy Hunt appears to have remained.

Daryll Neita shares how Elaine Thompson-Herah & Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are shaping her up for greatness

Daryll Neita has explained that she is very fortunate to have Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson-Herah as blueprints for her as she chases success on the global scene.

Training with Noah Lyles could help improve Neita’s fortunes at the global stage considering that she is yet to win an Olympic or world championships gold medal.

Neita, 28, is the 2024 European Championships 200m silver medallist. The London-born athlete boasts a PB of 10.90 in 100m set in 2022, Birmingham.

Neita’s 60m indoor best of 7.05 seconds and 100m best of 10.90 seconds achieved at the 2023 ISTAF Indoor and 2022 Commonwealth Games respectively puts her second on the relevant UK all-time lists behind Dina Asher-Smith. Neita is a five-time British national champion, twice outdoors over 100m, twice outdoors over 200m, and once indoors over 60m.
