  • Before jumping into the water, Mogendi left his trousers and shoes on the river bank, and his father confirmed that they were his.

Two days have passed, and his son's boy has not yet been taken out of the river, which greatly hurt the poor man who was seen wiping his tears as soon as he reached Isukhu River.

What course did Mogendi study in MMUST?

Divers from the Nyayo Tea Zone have been camped in the water since Sunday, January 19, 2025, trying to find the body of the 22-year-old man studying Arts without success.

A crowd of students who had gathered at the scene claimed that the drivers found the body but hid it, hoping to extort money from the Ogendi family.

“Some divers from other places are on their way and will work with the students as well,” said a diver at the scene.

“I saw his clothes on the ground, his pants and shoes, I was surprised how he jumped into the water and questioned why he was the only one left in the water because the others were safe,” questioned Mogoti.

Are there good divers in Kakamega?

The local chief criticized the lack of professional drivers in the area to help remove the body from the river.

“Within a short time, our God will help us, and we will take the body of the young man with the help of the local divers,” he said.
