- Pastor James Ng'ang'a announced that Neno Evangelism Center is an appeal, not a regular church
- The preacher claimed that the center deals with complex cases from different regions that other preachers fail to deal with
- He mentioned dealing with believers from places like Machakos, Mombasa, and Murang'a
Controversial evangelist Pastor James Ng'ang'a has clarified things for those who think his center of worship is a church.
During the service at Neno Evangelism Centre, Pastor Ng'ang'a made a surprising claim that his place of worship is not a church but an appeal.
Why the Word Evangelism Center in Ng'ang'a is not a normal church
He explained that people come to him from all over the country to find solutions to major problems that other preachers have failed to address.
“This is not a church. Churches are what you left places like Kawangware where did you come from This is an appeal. One comes from Machakos and all other places. This is an appeal. We handle those cases that have defeated other people. People come from Mombasa or Murang'a,” he said.
Pastor Ng'ang'a was criticized for mocking women
In another service, Pastor Ng'ang'a caused controversy with his remarks about women who use cosmetics.
The preacher was caught in a video that went viral on the internet mocking women who spend hours on their make-up, claiming that even after all the effort, they are still unattractive.
“You take so much time to make yourself up and then spend the whole day, and no one even bothers to approach you,” he said, adding unprintable words that shocked the congregation.
The video was widely circulated on social media after the former Governor of Nairobi Mike Sonko post it on X (formerly Twitter).
Sonko captioned the video:
“Wait, did Pastor Ng'ang'a say this in church or was this video made by AI?”
Netizens were quick to respond to the controversial information, with many expressing disappointment and demanding accountability.
The Kenya Women's Parliamentarians' Association (KEWOPA) strongly condemned Pastor Ng'ang'a's remarks, calling them harmful and careless.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of KEWOPA, Lilian Sankaire, the party explained that these comments humiliate women and weaken the ongoing fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
“KEWOPA strongly condemns the recent remarks that degrade women. Such statements are not only harmful and insensitive to feelings, but also undermine the dignity of women in our society,” said the statement.
KEWOPA demanded that Reverend Ng'ang'a issue a public apology without objection and asked leaders and organizations to stand together in raising awareness and supporting victims of GBV.
Pastor Ng'ang'a kicks the family out of his prayer meeting
In another story, a man of God kicked someone out of his conference call.
The no-nonsense preacher emphasized the importance of focusing on God's word during worship.
Reverend Ng'ang'a defended his action, claiming the man disrupted the service, and quickly ordered him removed from the hall.
