New information has emerged regarding the horrific murder case in Huruma, Nairobi, where a man was caught carrying his wife's body parts in a bag at dawn.
Officers of DCI they continue to gather evidence after the suspect, John Kiama Wambua, was arrested at around eleven in the morning near Kelly Towers.
How was Wambua arrested?
It all started when the police team on patrol noticed the suspicious behavior of the 29-year-old man, who was holding a heavy bag tightly.
After examining the bag, officers discovered something gruesome—human remains later identified as those of his 19-year-old wife, Joy Fridah Munani.
Despite the shocking revelation, Wambua remained calm and led the officers to his rented room, where other body parts were hidden under the bed.
Inside the blood-soaked room, investigators found a blood-stained kitchen knife believed to be the murder weapon, along with the deceased's blood-soaked clothes.
Where is the body of Wambua's wife?
Investigators noted that several body parts have yet to be found, prompting an extensive search and extensive laboratory testing.
Crime scene investigators examined the horrific scene as authorities stepped up efforts to understand the motive behind the brutal murder.
Wambua, who is now facing charges of murder, is expected to be brought to court while DCI Starehe continues to investigate the tragic incident.
