Amorim breaks the TV in the dressing room
According to The Athletic, the new Man United boss, who was appointed in November to replace Erik ten Hag, broke the television in the dressing room after his team lost to Brighton.
Amid fierce criticism of his side's seventh defeat in 15 matches, the Portuguese coach was defeated after Brighton secured a comfortable 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.
The report adds that the damaged TV was used in practice and another will be needed before their Europa League match against Rangers.
The report also says the reaction was surprising, given that the former Sporting CP boss never said a word after games.
After the defeat to Brighton, Amorim controversially said the current team of Man United “probably the worst in history.”
“We are probably the worst team in the history of Manchester United. I know you want the headlines but I say that because we have to admit that and change that. Here you go: the headlines,” he said via the Manchester Evening News.
He insisted that he will not change his system of finding three players at the back, no matter how difficult things get.
“I'm not going to change, no matter what. I know we can succeed but we need to live in the moment. I'm not stupid. We need to live now.”
