Caroline Nyanga: Former Journalist Tells How She Dated A Healer For 10 Years

Former Standard Media Group journalist, Caroline Nyanga has opened up about the disturbing events that affected her life after she dated a man who she later discovered was a fortune teller.

Speaking during an interview on the Oga Obinna Show, the former entertainment writer revealed that the man, a Congolese resident Tanzaniahe used charms to capture his love even though he has no feelings for her.

How did Caroline Nyanga meet her lover, a local healer?

Nyanga narrated how she met the man in Komarock Estate, Nairobi, where she lived at the time.

Despite her misgivings, she entered into a relationship with him, a decision she believes was influenced by magical powers.

“I met that man, but I didn't like him. I think he used a charm to trap me. I found him in our street in Komarock. Later I found out that he was a Congolese living in Tanzania. I didn't want him at all, but other people can use charms. Even my late mother was not happy about this,” he explained.

The relationship, which lasted for 10 years, was full of violence and suffering.

“He was always drunk. We stayed together, but he used to beat me. I started to get sick and had miscarriages. I had four miscarriages,” Nyanga revealed.

Nyanga discovered her lover's true nature after he insisted on doing a media interview, where it was revealed that he was an assistant to a local healer.

“I suffered. I stayed with him all those years. I had a lot of money. I used to do entertainment shows in clubs and earn about KSh 500,000 per show, and I had two shows a month. But I lost everything. I think this man did something, ” he explained.

Nyanga also revealed that her lover invited another local healer to live with them, which added to her suffering and confusion.

The writer also recounted a horrific incident while interviewing a local healer at Umoja 1.

“At the cave, a local healer began to summon evil spirits using incense and chanting rituals. It took about an hour to come, and when they came, a strange sound was heard. There were seven of them, and when the seventh came, my companion fainted. We had a conversation with the spirits bad. They told me not to write bad news about them,” Nyanga remembered.

Did Caroline Nyanga seek redemption?

The experience left him terrified, but he eventually sought deliverance through prayer.

Nyanga sought the help of pastors and experienced deliverance. However, his fellow photographer, who had accompanied him to the cave of a local healer, refused to seek spiritual help.

For luck unfortunately, he died six months later.
