In an interview on Tuesday, January 15, the resident called the president's response to online criticism “petty” and inappropriate for his office.

The young man suggested that Ruto's battle with young critics on social media should be handled by young politicians, such as Member of County Members of Parliament (MCAs), not the president.

He pointed out the huge age gap between Ruto and his critics, adding that the head of state should be the main figure in the dispute.

The resident of Kisumu pointed out how former political leaders handled criticism, comparing it to the methods of the former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The resident also expressed concern about the intimidation tactics used to silence critics, including reports of vehicles and individuals linked to undercover operations.
