Kimberly, the daughter of the late soccer player Otuoma, is full of happiness after MCA fulfilled its promise to help her educationally.
Racheal Otuoma introduced Kimberly, a Form Two student, to Kenyans during a service to honor her father at CCA Johera Church.
A video shared online showed the grieving woman with her hand on the little girl who was wearing a white Rangers FC shirt with Otuoma's name on the back.
“This is Kimberly Otuoma. We leave the rest to God.”
However, Kimberly said nothing as they left the altar.
The girl finally got a chance to speak publicly during Otuoma's funeral in Siaya county.
Kimberly struggled to cry as she read part of her late father's biography and mentioned her siblings. He was holding a cloth in his hand and wiping his tears while trying to honor his late father.
Kimberly's brothers held her with the preacher's instructions because the emotions overwhelmed her.
During the funeral service on Saturday, January 11, Makongeni MCA, Peter Imwatok, gave a condolence message from Raila Odinga and other politicians.
He also praised Racheal for standing by Otuoma before promising to help Kimberly.
Imwatok promised to pay Kimberly's tuition until the Fourth Form and meet with the funeral committee to discuss Kimberly's education after high school.
After another mourner gave Kimberly the same amount, Imwatok gave Otuoma's daughter KSh 20,000 for personal use.
Video of TikTok shows that Imwatok has fulfilled his promise to Kimberly.
@auntymwakio posted a video showing Kimberly trying on new high school uniforms. She looked beautiful in a white shirt and colorful striped skirt.
The smiling student grabbed another pair of uniforms and an extra pair of shoes.
The TikToker praised Imwatok for keeping his promise.
“MCA took him to get a new uniform. Very blessed sir. See God, man,” he wrote.
