Bandari coach Ken Odhiambo explains why Bandari needs to sign new players in the January transfer window
Bandari FC is set to make two new signings during the mid-season transfer window in order to get their season back on track.
The Coastal side are currently eighth in the 18-team league after five wins, seven draws and three losses.
Sports Kenya has revealed when both Harambee Stars and FKFPL clubs will be allowed to use Nyayo and Kasarani Stadia once renovations are completed before commencement of CHAN 2024 in August.
Coach Ken Odhiambo said the poor form is as a result of injuries that have led to a depleted squad. “We started the league well, but injuries, particularly in our defence and midfield, have kept us from returning to our best form. However, I’m confident we will bounce back soon,” he said.

Odhiambo said his hand has been forced into the market due to players unwillingness to renew their contracts that have run down. “There are players whose contracts have ended, and we’ll prioritize convincing them to renew. However, there may be one or two players we can’t agree with, and those will be the ones we replace. The mid-season window is not ideal for making several changes,” he explained.
Masika, who joined Gor Mahia in January 2024, has revealed how being at the club has made him develop a “winner’s mentality”.
Bandari FC has suffered defeats to AFC Leopards and, most recently, to league leaders Tusker FC on Wednesday prompting Ken Odhiambo to take action. Bandari FC will return to action on January 19, hosting Shabana FC in an early kickoff at the newly renovated Mbaraki Stadium.
