Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has reflected on how it feels to be a part of Jamaica’s golden era of sprinting and inspiring the next generation.
Christian Coleman is the defending champion while Noah Lyles will be in the hunt for his first world indoor title after settling for silver last year in Glasgow, Scotland, setting up the stage for a tight race.
He has already opened his season, claiming the win in the 60m as he clocked 6.62 seconds at the Corky Classic in Texas. After the win, many of his fans were excited as they shared the update on their Instagram stories.
Bromell also shared the great news, noting: “Nice start. From here we build. All glory to the Father.”
Meanwhile, Bromell has a history of injuries from his youth but clearly, he is not giving up on his career just because of that. in his youth, Bromell faced a series of injuries including severe damage to his knees and hip.
The American injured his left knee attempting a backflip, following that, he also damaged his right knee and forearm while playing basketball. While still a student, Bromell also sustained a hip injury during a 100m race.
In the build up to the Rio Olympic Games, Trayvon Bromell developed a bone spur in his Achilles tendon which resulted in his poor performance in individual races. At the Olympics, he suffered a torn Achilles during the 4x100m relay final, requiring surgery.

Saint Lucia golden girl Julien Alfred had an outstanding 2024 season that included winning her first Olympics title but what do you know about the sprinter?
During the 2023 season, Bromell underwent surgery to address a bone spur in his ankle, forcing him to miss the track and field season, a huge setback in his career.
He hoped to have a great 2024 comeback but it all seemed in vain as he also sustained an adductor injury during a race in Italy. He was forced to withdraw from the US Olympic trials, meaning he would be a no show at the Paris Olympic Games.
He seems to have resolved all the troubles and is ready for the 2025 season, starting from the indoor season to the outdoor races where he intends to win something for himself at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
