‘No specific plans to chase records’

Beatrice Chebet has explained her main target for 2025 while revealing her next destination and hopes to pick up from where she left last year.

Double Olympic champion Beatrice Chebet is relaxed regarding her plans this year.

Speaking after cruising to victory at the 13th edition of the National Police Service Cross Country held at Ngong Race Course, Nairobi, on January 17, the Kericho-born runner insisted that she is not planning to chase records in 2025.

Both Sha’Carri Richardson and Usain Bolt reveal a shared truth about the unseen journey to fleeting Olympics moments.

However, her main goal will be to win gold at the World Championships in Tokyo, after settling for broze and silver in the past two editions. “Having previously won bronze and silver at the World Championships, my main aim this season is to finally secure the title in Tokyo,” Chebet told Citizen Digital.

ai.src = v.location.protocol + o;
d.head.appendChild(ai);
})(window, document, ‘//a.vdo.ai/core/v-pulsesports-co-ke-v0/vdo.ai.js’);

She added: “I don’t have a specific plan to chase records; it depends on the race conditions and how my body responds.”
