The criticism came after Kenyans disrupted a press conference chaired by Health Minister Deborah Barasa, on Wednesday, January 15, to complain about the lack of services under the Social Health Authority (SHA).

Why Kenyans are demanding answers about SHA

The woman who led protest he expressed his frustration, saying:

“Please know that the SHA is not working. We have other patients waiting outside the gate if you are willing to join them. We have come as far as Kibwezi to follow this service. The SHA has not been working since Wednesday last week, and they are not passing…”

In this situation, one social media user retweeted a photo of Passaris celebrating his 60th birthday, accusing him of focusing on personal matters instead of addressing important issues.

“In Muthoni, women are walking around with new CS injuries looking for help at SHA offices,” said the user, referring to the challenges faced by women seeking health care.
