Triple Olympics champion Gabby Thomas was forced to fire back at her critics after claims that Jamaican rivals are coming for her titles in 2025.
Olympics champion Gabby Thomas appears unfazed by the impending competition from Jamaican athletes during the 2025 season, especially the World Championships.
Thomas claimed a rare Olympics hat-trick in Paris last year when she won the 200m gold as well as 4X100m and 4X400m relay titles with Team USA.
Her critics, however, claimed she only won the 200m gold because defending champion Elaine Thompson-Herah and world champion Shericka Jackson were missing, the two having been ruled out due to injuries.

Gabby Thomas balances Olympic success with a passion for healthcare, eyeing a meaningful career in medicine after track retirement.
It seems those sentiments have never gone away and she was forced to shut down a Jamaican fan who sought to remind her that Thompson-Herah and Jackson are now back and will be looking to dethrone her at the Worlds in Tokyo, Japan in September
“The Jamaican are coming back for their titles this season, sorry 2025,” The fan told Thomas on TikTok but the sprinter fired back: “Don’t push me.”
The comment must have spoiled Thomas’ mood somewhat after she had just posted a motivational song, expressing how she gets in the mood before, during, and after competing.
McKenzie Long has opened up on three things that affected her 100-meter performance at the USATF Olympic trials in 2024, an event that saw eventual medalists Sha’Carri Richardson and Mellisa Jefferson make the American team for Paris.
Thomas can expect tough competition not just from the Jamaicans but also from fellow Americans such as Brittany Brown, Sha’Carri Richardson and McKenzie Long, British sprinters as well as St Lucia’s Julien Alfred, as she bids for her first world title.
She, however, appears ready for the battle given she has been busy in training since December as she looks forward to another successful season in 2025.
