Phil Karanja talks about life after divorce

In an interview on Clearing The Airwaves, Phil revealed the emotional challenges he went through and the reflections he made after breaking up with his heartthrob at the time.

He admitted to facing difficult questions about himself and the circumstances that led to the divorce.

“What should I have done better? Should I have corrected myself? Should I have improved myself? Don't blame yourself or someone else,” he said.

Phil explained that he sought advice from men who had gone through divorce several years ago but found that many of them still harbored resentment towards their ex-wives.

This reality became a big change for him.

“When you talk to someone who divorced five years ago, you find that he is still angry. I remember saying to myself five years from now, I don't want to be angry and hate my ex-wife,” Phil explained.

Determined not to take his anger out on others, Phil focused on personal responsibility.

“I will not release my anger and blame on him. I will look at myself. What did I do wrong? I will not focus on him but on me. The divorce has led me to the stage of introspection. Where did I fall short? Why did I not realize this?” he pondered.

It's important to understand that a marriage involves two people, and both contribute to its dynamics. Recognizing that both made mistakes allows for a more balanced perspective. This approach can bring personal growth, better understanding, and healthier relationships in the future. It encourages self-reflection without self-blame, setting a more constructive path forward.”
