Tanzania: At 70 years old, Simon Mpunga now has a second chance to enjoy marriage after a 36-year-old beauty known as Yusta Mnojela agreed to marry him.

Why was Mpuna happy to marry Yusta?

Mpunga was a bus driver, and he retired in 2015, but things did not go well for him after his co-parent ran away with their six children.

Although they had children with the other parent, they never got married because life's challenges were too much for them.

“Nothing can be compared to my happiness today. This woman who is marrying me is carrying a very big cross after being abandoned by my co-parent and six children,” said Mpunga on Azam TV.

How did Yusta's mother accept the marriage?

“Now she is my mother, my child and my sister. She has agreed to take care of an unemployed old man, when he is very young. The only child present today is a daughter from another relationship, but the other six who ate my sweat do not love me,” he added.

Yusta was happy to be married, and his mother praised the groom for always being ready to take care of him.

“When I visit them, they give me money and a sack of corn,” said his mother-in-law Mpunga.

Guests who attended the wedding encouraged Mpunga's children to make peace with their father.
