“My target is definitely the title,” Okutoyi stated with determination via Telecom Asia Sport.
“I have a lot of confidence in myself and I know what I can go on and do out there. I will give my all; I believe in myself and I have a team which believes in me as well, and I am ready to fight for the title. It is a difficult tournament, but I know I can go all the way.”
Her path to the semifinals was marked by a hard-fought victory against Poland’s Monika Stankiewicz.
After dropping the first set 4-6, Okutoyi roared back to win 6-2, 6-1, showcasing her resilience and adaptability on the court.
The semifinals promise another test of her skill and determination as she faces Zuzanna Pawlikowska, also from Poland.
