Uasin Gishu MCA Returned to School Scores D- in KCSE, Daughter Scores C: “I Slaughter Cows”

Uasin Gishu – Several Kenyans have celebrated their KCSE results announced on Thursday, January 9, by Education Minister Julius Ogamba.

Among those who were eagerly waiting for the results of the KCSE exam was MCA of Kipkenyo Ward, David Letting, popularly known as Kokwas, aged 64.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Kokwas explained that he got a grade of D-, a result he appreciated very much despite not attending formal primary and secondary school classes.

“I would have gotten an E, but God has helped me and I got a D-, and I am very grateful. I thank God for giving me this certificate, something I never thought I would get. This result is a reflection of my natural knowledge; I never once participated in extra lessons,” he said.

How did Kokwas's daughter score in KCSE?

Kokwas also revealed that his daughter, who also took the exam, got a C plain. With great pride, he explained that he plans to pursue a teaching career.

“My daughter got an average grade of C, and I got a D-. I thank God for all of our results. Now she will be a teacher,” he added.

Initially, Kokwas had indicated that he had no intention of looking for a job but only wanted to get a certificate.

He also mentioned plans to organize a celebration for their success.

“We will celebrate on Saturday, January 11. I will slaughter a cow to enjoy with my family and the community, and we will eat together because this is a miracle from God.
